A Ragdoll kitten in North Carolina is usually a four-figure purchase from a stranger you found online, often with a deposit paid before you have met the cat. The information that would help you judge that decision, whether the parents were tested for HCM, what the kitten actually costs, whether the cats live in cages, is published by some catteries and not by others. Nobody collects it in one place.

The thing that surprised us first
Of the 7 catteries here, only 2have a stated address inside the Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill triangle. Several of the most prominent search results for "Ragdoll breeder Raleigh" are catteries in other parts of the state, or in other states entirely, running pages built around the word Raleigh. One of them delivers by flight nanny to RDU airport and states no North Carolina address at all.
